My individual coaching style

I am naturally curious about people and it is part of what makes me a great coach and leader. I listen attentively to you and your goals and your reason for wanting a coach. I help you identify what you think your challenges are - (some people may not always know) and then we talk! I work very closely with my intuition and things will come up for me as we speak which we can then discuss and even debate. I sometimes work with metaphors and analogies that work for you, if that’s your thing. Sometimes they help us to see what we may not easily recognise. I see you, I listen to you without judgement or criticism. Together we find a way, because I believe there is always another way.

My Leadership Development style

Teams are made up of individuals who all need to be heard, listened to and have their needs met. Once we have done that individually, then teams work smoothly together. Through my work in Organisational Effectiveness and Development, I have developed strong listening and diagnostic skills and I am able to interpret the needs I uncover into actionable development interventions. My leadership style is consultative, empathetic, connected and consistent. I have strong relationship-building skills as well as being able to translate strategy to structure and teams. Psychological safety with teams is paramount and enabling people to make mistakes and work in their own style is a true driver for team success. I am direct, clear and fair and hold people accountable. I have a wicked and childlike humour which keeps this balanced!
